Dear all,
Only a few days left for the World School Milk Day 2020. It is held on the last Wednesday of September
every year, and this year it falls on 30 September.
Understandably, COVID-19 has impacted the functioning of schools in many countries, but stories abound
on reaching out to children by caring teachers and community leaders even when schools are closed, as children’s welfare is one of their top priorities. You may be one of those considering alternative ways of celebrating the day with a small program to reach
out those children who are unable to attend schools. Needless to say even a small gesture of caring could make a lasting impact on a child’s mind. The World School Milk day may provide you an excellent opportunity for doing so.
As we have been highlighting earlier, there is no specific theme for celebration, but the focus is on
creating awareness among children of the influence of milk on human nutrition, cultural heritages, economies and the unending human bond with animal species. You may get some inspiration from how others have celebrated the day in previous years by visiting: World
School Milk Day.
We look forward to hearing your inspiring stories and sharing them with others!
