COVID 19 & Family Farming

To mitigate the pandemic’s impacts across the food system, global and country-specific interventions are to be taken simultaneously at various scales: measures meant to preserve and re-adjust the global food supply chains need to be complemented with context-specific solutions harnessing locally-available resources and goods. Family farmers are particularly well positioned to provide contextualized and, comprehensive solutions.
An FFKP thematic page containing a compilation of documents (articles, recommendations, etc.) related to COVID-19 has been released in order to favour the dissemination of information and knowledge so to support concrete actions and policy making that mitigates the pandemic’s impacts across the food system while strengthening family farming around the world.
