In preparation for the meetings, we would like to send you some background documentation:

  *   Task Force on Sustainability meeting - Specifically for the session on the development of the GBEP Sustainability Indicators (GSI) data entry sheets during the 18th Meeting of the GBEP Task Force on Sustainability, you can find attached the first zero draft of the data entry sheets, developed under the lead of Takashi Hayashi (Japan), and with the collaboration of the GBEP Secretariat and the other economic sub-group leader, Annalisa Zezza (Italy). This draft is to be used as a basis for discussion during the TFS meeting. Also attached is a structure for providing feedback for the data entry sheets; these questions will guide our discussion during the meetings and allow us to agree how to improve these data entry sheets to develop a tool to facilitate the implementation of the GSI. Please familiarize yourself with the questions and fill in your initial comments based on the draft word table attached.   *   Steering Committee meeting - GBEP Financial Accounting for 2020 and budget for 2021.

GBEP communication materials
As mentioned in a previous update email, the GBEP Secretariat has been working on a number of communication materials:

  *   A promotional video to publicize GBEP's work. The draft of the video is now available in English and Spanish (downloadable via WeTransfer<https://we.tl/t-ZflujBLlN6>).
  *   A draft infographic on the Water-Energy-Food-Climate Nexus in the context of Covid-19 (attached).
Any feedback on the above is welcomed to be sent to the GBEP Secretariat by Sunday 11 October.

IRENA Innovation Week
Finally, please join us for the SESSION at the IRENA Innovation Week 2020, organized in partnership with IRENA, on 'Growing the bio-economy: solutions for the sustainable supply of biomass & biofuels'. The session will be held online 17.00-20.00 CEST on Tuesday 6 October 2020. It will showcase best practices and innovative approaches to secure sustainable biomass and to turn it into valuable feedstocks for energy, and will explore how these experiences can be replicated and further scaled-up.
