Dear Partners and Observers,
Given the renewed GBEP attention on bioenergy as part of the broader bioeconomy, the GBEP Secretariat will be participating in the Global Bioenergy Summit 2020, to be held next week, 16-18 November 2020. In particular, the GBEP Secretariat
will be contributing to the science and innovation workshop on Tuesday 17 November 0800-1000 CET, entitled “New technologies as accelerator of a sustainable bioeconomy”. The three-day workshop programme of the GBS 2020 is extremely compelling and we would
encourage interested Partners and Observers to
register (free of charge) and to join us for the aforementioned workshop.
We would also like to draw your attention to some research that is being conducted by IINAS (Germany) as a follow up to the
Technical paper "Linkages between the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the GBEP Sustainability Indicators for Bioenergy (GSI)". The research is related to sustainability governance of bioeconomy and the links with the SDGs. Participation of GBEP
Partners and Observers, as well as related SDG national coordinators, is welcomed through the response to a questionnaire (here attached) that can be returned to Leire Iriarte ([log in to unmask]) no later than 30 November 2020.
Kind regards,
GBEP Secretariat
