water is of major importance to secure animal health and welfare. Water plays a critical role in sustainable livestock production systems and supply chain worldwide. In particular, the evaluation of its productivity is key to addressing growing food demand and the livestock sector impact on climate change. Water is also a key element to take into account while addressing antimicrobial resistance. FAO, often jointly with its partners, has produced a vast array of publications, including the ones below and the Livestock Environmental Assessment and Performance (LEAP) Partnership guidelines on Water use of livestock production systems and supply chains
