Global Adaptation Network (GAN) Survey:
Overcoming barriers to EbA
Deadline: 30 October 2021

Dear Mountain Partnership members and friends,

We are pleased to inform you that the UN's Global Adaptation Network (GAN) Secretariat is undertaking an evidence gathering on overcoming barriers to ecosystem-based approaches to adaptation (EbA).

To raise awareness of and scale-up EbA activities, the new Global EbA Fund, co-implemented by IUCN and UNEP, is a fast-response small grants mechanism that promotes innovative and catalytic EbA approaches and partnerships. GAN will assist the fund in gathering knowledge, evidence, and stories about EbA initiatives, along with lessons learned for upscaling EbA practices. This process will consist of both a global online survey and global and regional stakeholder dialogues taking place between June and September 2021.

The survey was launched last month and over 50 case studies have been received so far. The survey is also available in French and Spanish. It will take you about 45 minutes to complete and will remain open until 30 October 2021.

We kindly invite you to follow this link to complete the survey: https://www.unep.org/gan/what-we-do/gathering-evidence-overcoming-barriers-eba-uptake

Please encourage others across your networks to fill it out!
If you have any questions or issues, please contact Oscar Ivanova ([log in to unmask]).

Best regards,
The Mountain Partnership Secretariat
