Dear Mountain Partnership members and friends,

We thank you for your participation and have the pleasure to share with you some of the highlights of last week's Mountain Partnership UN Food Systems Pre-Summit parallel event Food systems as a key pillar of sustainable development in mountains.

Bringing together over 130 participants, the session focused on the role of sustainable food systems in mountains and how they can contribute towards a more equitable and inclusive development.

Concrete solutions for mountain areas were discussed, and the importance of the participation of different actors from all over the world was acknowledged for leveraging the power of food systems to make progress on all 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
