Dear all,
As explained in our partner meeting today, the FFF will participate in the
GLF Amazonia Conference, from 21 to 23 September. This will be a major event involving millions of stakeholders to discuss
local solutions to preserve and restore the biological and cultural diversity of the world’s largest humid tropical forest.
I send you attached the Concept Note of the Conference, and you can find additional information here: https://events.globallandscapesforum.org/amazon-2021/ways-to-shape-the-conference/
We are organizing a session on Community-managed funds in the Brazilian Amazon (Indigenous Peoples & traditional communities). The date will be confirmed soon. In this 90 minute-session, leaders from the Indigenous
Peoples Podaali Fund, the Babassu Coconut Breakers Babassu Fund, and the State of Pará Dema fund will share their experiences, emphasizing both the great benefits and the challenges. We encourage you to join this very promising session on a great topic.
In addition, David will speak in another session organized by
SERVIR-Amazonia, on “How to use geospatial technology and Earth Observation science to improve environmental decision-making in the Panel 2: "Addressing Climate Change Challenges Together".
The participation is free for people from Latin America, but not for other continents. Please tell me and David, as soon as possible if you are willing to join some of sessions, as we could get a pass for you. He hope
that you will be enthusiast to join the discussions on this crucial and urgent
challenge for our planet.
Cheers,
The FFF Team
