The motion presented by IUCN’s Indigenous Peoples’ Organisation Members asking that 80% of the Amazon be protected by 2025 was passed at the IUCN World Conservation Congress.
IUCN’s Indigenous Peoples’ Organisation Members also presented their Global Indigenous Agenda during the first ever World Summit of Indigenous Peoples and Nature.
