13-15 October 2021 | Valposchiavo, Switzerland & Virtual

Dear Mountain Partnership members and friends,

We are pleased to share with you the announcement of the Origin, Diversity and Territories Forum, to be held on 13-15 October 2021.

This year, the event focuses on “Disruption and rebounds of territorialized food systems”. The Forum is organized in four workshops. One of the workshops, “Mountain territories: dynamics and rebounds. The place of localized food systems and networking”, is specifically dedicated to the sustainable development of mountains and will take place in four sessions:

-          Production-consumption-resources: What is the role of Localized Agri-food Systems (SyAL) in "sustainable tourism" strategies?

-          Agricultural mountain landscapes and human activities (session co-organized with the Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems Secretariat)

-          Mountains’ heritage, innovations and labels: Collective action and sustainability strategies

-          Exchanges, networks and territorial construction: The future for mountain people (with participation by the Mountain Partnership Secretariat)

The full programme is available here.

The event will be hybrid, taking place simultaneously physically in Valposchiavo, Switzerland and online with interpretation available in English, French and Spanish.
