Behavioural Science Shark Tank:

Can children and youth really create impact in addressing the climate crisis?

Thursday, 30 September 2021 :: 12:00 to 13:30 pm (CET, Milan time)

Does climate change action have the desired impact? How can we really create educational initiatives and climate campaigns that contribute to adaptation and mitigation efforts? Youth pitch their actions and initiatives to a shark tank of behavior science experts to understand how their efforts could be optimized to increase impact.

In line with United Nations Secretary General’s priority area of behavior science the side event will highlight the importance of taking into consideration behavior and other barriers that are hindering climate change efforts. It will discuss how we can best balance civic action and individual changes in behavior to really achieve sustainable transitions and the role of youth in accelerating change. The panel discussion will also debate how policy can create the needed enabling environment.
