Welcome to the Global AgriInno Challenge 2021! The theme of this year is Digital Villages Solutions for the Four Betters.
The Challenge 2021 is open to everyone, including a) young innovators with digital solutions or ideas for the global agri-food sector, and b) FAO staff practicing
or exploring innovation, digital agriculture, digital solutions, and rural transformation to address challenges related to the transformation of rural villages into Digital Villages to
support the Four Betters and
to contribute directly to SDG 1 (No poverty), SDG 2 (Zero hunger), and SDG 10 (Reduced inequalities) as well as to supporting the achievement of the broader SDG agenda.
The selected teams will be invited to further develop and pitch their innovative solutions in Shenzhen, China on 10-11 November 2021 with all relevant expenses covered, and will have the opportunity to receive advice
from experienced experts in the UN, international organizations, the private sector and academia, and to dialogue with high-level representatives from leading companies and organizations. The selected teams will also meet with top angel investors from venture
capital funds and business leaders in the agri-food sector who may be interested in investing in your solutions.
The top winning teams will receive seed funding and will have the opportunity to join the Digital Agriculture Bootcamp (with training,
travel and accommodation expenses covered)
The Global AgriInno Challenge 2021 is co-organized by FAO and Zhejiang University in partnership with the Foreign Economic Cooperation Center within the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs
of China.
