Dear Mountain Partnership members and friends,



The ninth edition of the Origin, Diversity and Territories Forum<https://origin-for-sustainability.org/en/home/> (Forum ODT) opens today in Valposchiavo, Switzerland as well as online.

This year, the event focuses on “Disruption and rebounds of territorialized food systems”. The Forum will take place in four workshops, including one dedicated to the sustainable development of mountains.

The workshop “Mountain territories: dynamics and rebounds. The place of localized food systems and networking” will take place in four sessions:

-          13 October: Production-consumption-resources: What is the role of Localized Agri-food Systems (SyAL) in "sustainable tourism" strategies?

-          14 October: Agricultural mountain landscapes and human activities, session co-organized with the Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems Secretariat

-          14 October: Mountains’ heritage, innovations and labels: Collective action and sustainability strategies

-          15 October: Exchanges, networks and territorial construction: The future for mountain people, with participation by ICIMOD, the Mountain Partnership Secretariat and the MountMed Institute

The event will be hybrid, taking place simultaneously physically in Valposchiavo, Switzerland and online with interpretation available in English, French and Spanish.
