Dear Mountain Partnership members and friends,

Join us for today’s UNFCCC COP26 mountain session “Sustainable mountain tourism and food systems to support recovery from COVID-19 in mountains” at 18.30–19.45 GMT in Skomer (Multimedia Studio 2).

This official side event will bring together multistakeholder panellists to highlight the role of natural resource management, sustainable food systems and sustainable tourism for climate change adaptation in mountains. Speakers will propose concrete examples and recommendations on how mountain communities can recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

You will hear from a distinguished panel of Mountain Partnership members, including representatives from the Governments of Andorra and Georgia, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, Fundación Agreste, Instituto de Montaña, International Centre for Environmental Education and Community Development and Mountain Sentinels. See the programme attached for details.

To participate virtually, watch the event on the COP26 Platform or tune in to the livestream on YouTube.
