The UN Climate Change Conference (COP 26), hosted by the United Kingdom in partnership with Italy takes place from 31 October to 12 November 2021 in Glasgow. The aim of this year’s edition is
to finalize remaining decisions to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
FAO is present to reinforce its commitment to supporting countries in the climate negotiations, and will continue to advocate for and promote sustainable, efficient and resilient agri-food systems as part of the solution to the climate crisis, biodiversity
loss and ecosystem degradation.
On the occasion of COP26 and to contribute to the discussion on how data and statistics can support climate objectives, we present a selection of initiatives and resources produced by FAO related to addressing climate change and its impacts on agri-food systems,
as well as environmental objectives more broadly.
