Highlights from the 2021 Annual Report
The Forest and farm Facility (FFF) is now about halfway through its second phase. As documented in the FFF
2021 annual report, its impact is scaling up. The increasing visibility and influence of smallholders and Indigenous Peoples can largely be attributed to the hard work and engagement of forest and farm
organizations and their members, supported by the FFF and other like-minded bodies. Together, we are showing the power of these vibrant communities and what their actions on behalf of their members can deliver.
Increased recognition of the role of Indigenous Peoples
Improved subnational or national policies in favour of grassroots organizations
Built sustainable and climate-resilient community enterprises
Influenced large scale development initiative
Addressed gender equity
Catalyzed a positive change
We believe strongly in our work and its capacity to catalyze widespread positive change. We are supporting forest and farm producer organizations in their efforts to stimulate entrepreneurship and increase access to markets, finance
and services; helping build resilience among smallholders and in landscapes; encouraging gender-equitable approaches and outcomes; coordinating the efforts of representative organizations globally as a means for achieving rapid widespread policy improvements;
and linking with donors and other funders to place forest and farm smallholders at the centre of projects and programmes.

From the countries
A new market for agroecology products was recently launched in Sokodé with the local network of young producers REJEPPAT. In the last three years, young farmers of the region have been trained in agroecology practices
and are now ready to offer quality products to sell to their community.
A group of 20 women was trained with the Association of Beekeepers of the Department of Santa Cruz (ADAPICRUZ) to improve the honey and propolis production from native bees. Ancestral knowledge is put into practice
to develop local business and meet the increased demand of healing products.
