The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) will hold its
37th Regional Conference
for Latin America and the Caribbean in Quito, Ecuador from March 28 to April 1, 2022 with the presence of the President of the host country,
Guillermo Lasso and FAO Director-General QU Dongyu.
Ministers from the 33 countries of the region, together with international experts, representatives from the private sector, civil society, the United Nations system and the academic world
are set to participate in the Conference which sets FAO's regional priorities for the next two years.
The Conference will specifically focus on moving towards more efficient, inclusive, resilient and sustainable agrifood systems for better production, better nutrition, a better environment and a better life, leaving no one behind.
