Dear Colleagues,
We would like to invite you to a one-hour webinar on
31 May 2022 at 11:00 AM CET to introduce the Progressive Pathway for Emergency Preparedness (PPEP).
The PPEP, which was developed by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Emergency Management Centre for Animal Health (EMC-AH), is a new process and tool that enables
countries to improve their preparedness in the context of animal health emergencies. With the PPEP, national veterinary services can independently and progressively self-assess and identify strengths and opportunities for improvement with the goal
to ultimately reach a self-sustainable and standardised state of national animal health emergency preparedness across various sectors.
The webinar will be an opportunity for participants to familiarize themselves with the PPEP and find out more about its future expansion to include food security, aquatics, bee health and more. Speakers will present an
overview of the testing phase and a simulation of how PPEP is applied, which will be followed by a Q&A session.
Please register at the link below. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with information about joining the webinar. The agenda can be found attached.
The PPEP and this webinar were developed thanks to support from the United States Agency for International Developmentās (USAID) Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) and the French Ministry of Agriculture.
Best regards,
The EMC-AH Team
