Dear Members, FFOA has been informed by FAO Management that there will be a new Access Protocol to be put into effect from Monday 4th July. Retirees will be allowed into FAO Hqs using their building passes which will be re-activated; HOWEVER, since most of the retirees’ badges will not work immediately at the turnstiles, they will have to be manually extended by the Building Pass Office team at the Turkish lounge located at the entrance of building A , on a case-by-case basis. The Building pass office is only open in the mornings (10 -12am). All retirees should make sure that their passes are extended so that they can be subsequently used at the various entrance turnstiles. Access, circulation and informal gathering of retirees in FAO buildings is limited to the established “free circulation zone”. This comprises the ground floor of the main buildings and includes catering concessionaires and the service providers (banks, insurance, courrier). It also includes terrace and catering areas on the eighth floor. Retirees are recommended to use FFP2 face masks in crowded areas and must wear masks in catering areas ( when not eating or drinking). We wish you a good summer and hope that the current high temperatures will ease in coming weeks.
